I love Ferrante’s books. Your seminar students are lucky to be studying them with you. As for my “rule” it would be journaling weekly, if possible. Not only does it help me to sort out “life stuff” but it also allows me to write for nobody but me.

I’d never heard of formalized rules for life. Thanks for sharing This Year Try Organizing... I think I might, and will certainly share it with my hubby who recently retired and has yet to find his groove.
I'm sorry but it's in the context of a graduate program and closed. I'd love to hear about how you do with writing a rule. I think it's a great assessment.
